I’m scared, Spock. Help me not to be. How do you choose not to feel?
I think this is one of the most gorgeous pieces of music I’ve ever heard, particularly for a movie score. Each and every key is piercing, causing the listener physical pain, triggering such an emotional response. A key moment in any scene like this one is to adequately intertwine the script, the actors, the music, the scenery - every single aspect working together to make the scene effective. But to have a song that brings you back to that moment, each note leading you to think of a line, to make you feel what you felt watching the film, is truly a musical feat and absolutely a work of art. Congratulations to Michael Giacchino for this perfect piece of music that makes me cry every single time I listen to it.
I do not know. Right now, I am failing.
All I know is, it’s damn hard to do my job with Mike Nelson and Kevin Murphy making fun of everything that comes out of my damn mouth! Hey — I’m trying here! DON’T YOU SAY THAT I SURE AM TRYING! THAT’S NOT FUNNY!
I guess my job now is being flung through half the buildings in Metropolis.
I just got an internship at Google then hired.
Not bad
I investigate crime scenes? Cool!

To the Dark Lord,
I know I will be dead long before you read this but I want you to know that it was I who discovered your secret. I have stolen the real horcrux and intend to destroy it as soon as I can. I face death in the hope that when you meet your match you will be mortal once more.

Shall we begin?
I loved Star Trek: Into Darkness and I love the OST, but I can’t listen to “Warp Core Values” or “Buying the Space Farm” without starting to nearly hyperventilate and burst into tears.
I think this is the mark of fabulous music. And an extremely well-acted scene.
Which isn’t to say that blasting your way through a door isn’t effective.
